Secra,
I just wanted to say thank you. One day about two years ago, while working on a paper for school, I googled footnotes and found your site. I was immediately addicted. As I started reading I had no idea how much your journal was going to impact me. I was in a bad relationship, drinking too much and spending endless hours in an online role playing game making new friends. Reading stories of your sobriety helped me find mine, listening to your time in the tree house I realized I would be better off alone then being dragged down in a bad relationship. But most importantly reading about your relationship with David made me feel confident to meet a man IRL that I had met online and I found the love of my life.
Your story inspired me to change my circumstances, to improve my life. Though I have never met you, it was great to be able to turn to your journal and feel like I had someone who understood what I felt. Never underestimate the impact you have on others, never forget what a strong person you are and that there are people in this world who you have helped even if you never knew about them. Simply, Thank you!
Hope all is well for you and your family.
Thank you,
The very grateful Denver lady.
